Michael W. Wendel, President
 

Mr. Wendel is a former Naval Surface Warfare Officer with extensive experience in the use of modeling & simulation technologies to support engineering design, test & evaluation and warfare analysis. Mr. Wendel held Combat System and Engineering positions while in uniform and, following his military service, he embarked on his civilian career as a military technical liaison with LORAL Advanced Distributed Simulation, Inc. while supporting the Synthetic Theatre of War (STOW) Program. Prior to founding AVW Technologies, he was a simulation technology manager with Coleman Research Corporation, Inc. supporting both the AAAV and LPD 17 Programs. Throughout his civilian career he has utilized his engineering management skills to create modeling & simulation strategies to support major acquisition programs, and has worked in concert with ship designers, test & evaluation professionals, and naval engineers to develop cost-effective approaches and reutilization of modeling & simulation tools to support all facets of the acquisition cycle. Mr. Wendel currently supports the CVN 21 Program as a Simulation Technologist and the LPD 17 Program as the lead analyst for the Probability of Raid Annihilation Assessment. Mr. Wendel is fluent in the use of 3-D Product Models, Integrated Data Environments, Distributed Integration Testing, and High Fidelity Distributed Simulations. He is a graduate of Villanova University, BS, ME, and Naval Post Graduate School, MS, ME.

Matthew Rodakis, Vice President of Testing & Evaluation
 
Matthew Rodakis retired from the U.S. Navy with over 20 years of Naval and Joint experiences in Fleet operations at sea and DoD acquisition management as an Operational Test Director at Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation Force, Norfolk, VA. A qualified Surface Warfare Officer, he has experience in Air and Anti- submarine Warfare, Fleet Logistics with a concentration in Mine Warfare and Amphibious Warfare. As a distinguished graduate of the Naval War College he has knowledge and experience with both Joint and Navy doctrine. With over seven years experience managing Operational Test and Evaluation programs, he is widely considered an expert in defense acquisition management and in current DOD acquisition regulations. In addition to his extensive participation in total ship test programs, he has become a specialist in T&E management and test design of Sea Shield, Sea Strike and Sea Basing systems. He is thoroughly knowledgeable regarding the technical details associated with developmental, operational, and live fire testing of ships/watercraft, and is one of the few Operational Test Directors with practical experience in total ship testing programs.

Tim Booth, Vice President of Expeditionary Warfare
 
Retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after 24 years, Tim Booth’s more than 20 years of operational and over 3 years of Navy Specific Operational Test experience make him a recognized expert in operational testing. His testing experience qualifications include 6 years as a design engineer, 3 years as a developmental testing engineer, and 3 years as an operational test analyst; he completed the Operational Test Director certification course in 2003. Specializing in the testing of expeditionary warfare systems and major naval acquisition program system of systems, he is one of the few people with practical experience in total ship testing from both the developmental and operational side of ships and ship systems, and has a comprehensive knowledge of the technical details associated with these processes.
